TITLE: HOKIE NATION
STATUS: Available on DVD (see below to
order.)
In 2007, we released
HOKIE NATION: A Team, A Town and the Best Darned Fans in College Football!
This officially licensed film focuses on Virginia Tech's incredible fan
culture and what it means to be a Hokie. The film took two years to
complete and was directed and produced by a pair of Hokies with a story to
tell about the VT football program and the fans' role in the
transformation from hungry statewide contenders into a perennial national
power.
There are 114 interviews in this comprehensive film, including the
coaching staff, NFL and VT Hall of Famers, key media figures and dozens of
devoted fans who make Lane Stadium the best place in the country to see a
football game. We get inside the Corps of Cadets, the VT spirit teams and
Tech's wild night game atmosphere. We also look at key games and rivalries
in Virginia Tech history and at Hokie traditions from Sandman to Hokie Man
and everything in between.

TITLE: WHY OLD TIME
STATUS: In production; completion
scheduled for Winter 08
We began with a
simple question: "why Old Time?"
What we have found is that Old Time music just isn't a sound. It's a
lifestyle. It's living history. And at the same time,
it's musicians drive it ever forward while preserving an untarnished
musical tradition.
Why Old Time? explores the
beauty and art of Old Time music to explain why this particular type of
roots music holds such power. Filming has taken us from back porches
to main stages and allowed us to talk to some of Old Time's most
recognized figures right alongside regular folks who simply love the music
and live their lives in harmony with it.

TITLE: VIRGINIA CREEPERS:
THE HORROR HOST TRADITION OF THE OLD DOMINION
STATUS: In Production; completion
scheduled for August 09
Back on on one cold winter
Saturday night in 1959, "Witch Hazel" began stirring up a brew of live
double feature films on Channel 12 in Richmond, Virginia, thus beginning a
tradition of late night horror hosting in the Commonwealth. Since then, on
the airwaves and internet, Virginia's horror hosts have been breaking
ground and making things that go bump in the night a little more
manageable. This documentary will go back to the days when local
television was king and into the future with the new breed of "Virginia
Creepers." We are digging up old clips, uncovering information about lost
shows and bringing together cast members for interviews. At the same time,
we will be working side-by-side with many of Virginia's current hosts.
And most importantly, we are looking for the FANS . . . this is about your
experience as much as anything else.

TITLE: "THAT I MAY SERVE":
INSIDE THE VIRGINIA TECH CORPS OF CADETS
STATUS: In Production; completion
scheduled for early Fall 09
Virginia Tech's Corps of Cadets traces its
origin right back to VT's first student, Addison Caldwell, who marched 26
miles to enroll in 1872. The cadet experience has generated more decorated soldiers
than any other institution besides West Point.
This film is a look
inside the world of the VT cadet as well as a historical overview of the
Corps and its traditions. We are following the lives of a dozen
students as they progress through their 2008-2009 academic year. We
will find out why these students have chosen this unique path and what the
Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets is all about. To learn more, go

From the early part of the
last century to his death in 1968, Giles County, Virginia, fixture Henry
Reed was quietly going about a life built around family, tradition and Old
