HOKIE NATION:
A Team, A Town and the Best Darned Fans in College Football
So . . . just what the heck is a Hokie?
It’s a question Tech fans get everywhere they go. You can’t explain it in
a word or a phrase—you have to live it and this feature length
documentary, HOKIE NATION, does just that.
After nearly two years in the making,
HOKIE NATION is a first hand tour of the Hokie fan lifestyle from sun up
to sundown and all year round.
You’ll go inside Lane Stadium to experience the traditions and excitement,
from the field to the skyboxes and meet the most savvy, devoted and
passionate fans in college football today.
You’ll be invited to world class tailgate parties and find out why the
bowl commissions love VT.
You’ll
talk with Tech’s fantastic coaching staff including Frank Beamer, Bud
Foster and Bryan Stinespring. You’ll understand how the program grew
from a hungry statewide contender to a perennial powerhouse through
interviews with Tech greats like Bruce Smith, Antonio Freeman, Shayne
Graham and Carroll Dale and many more.
You’ll find out how the Corps of Cadets, Marching Virginians, Tech
Cheerleaders and Hi-Techs play critical roles in the Hokie game day
experience.
You'll also get the
media's perspective from Bill Roth, Mike Burnop, Mike Stevens and Rick
"Big Dog" Watson.
From Hokie Man to
Sandman, and everything in between, you’ll be immersed in Tech
tradition and see why this place is and always has been so special.
